Your Common Questions Answered:
How long will I be at the chapel?
It depends upon which package you’ve chosen. If you are not having a reception with us, a safe average from your hotel pick-up to drop-off is about 3 hours. This includes roughly 2 hours at the chapel to prepare, get married(!), have a photo shoot and view your photos. As previously mentioned, times vary so please check with your wedding coordinator for a more accurate assessment.
For ceremonies taking place off-site or outdoors, please refer to the specific package online. You will find the estimated duration in the notes section of the web page.
How long will my ceremony last?
Most ceremonies average 15 minutes. However, ceremony durations vary according to the services included within the wedding or vow renewal package selected. Drive thru and walk-up ceremonies average 5-10 minutes.
My package includes limousine transportation. When will I be picked up?
In order to allow for heavy traffic and other conditions, courtesy limousine pick-up times are scheduled, on average, 30-60 minutes prior to your ceremony. Your chauffer will call your hotel room phone line sometime within that 30-60 minute time frame to give you instructions for the pick-up location specific to your hotel. Please note pick-up times are approximate. Please stay in your hotel room until you speak with your driver. All requests for chapel transportation must be confirmed in advance.
I have more guests attending than will fit in the limousine included within my package. How will they get to the chapel?
It is ultimately the responsibility of your guests to make their own way to the chapel. However, additional limousines may be chartered. Please contact the chapel for help with those arrangements.
Where will my guests park?
There is ample parking directly across the street from the chapel. The lot is metered so advise your guests to bring plenty of quarters. The parking meters must be fed Monday - Saturday until 8pm. There is no charge to park in the lot on Sundays & legal holidays.
Be aware there are parking lots on the north and east side of (behind) the chapel. These lots are not for chapel patrons. Please do not park in that lot or your car may be towed by the lot’s owner.
When will I receive the photos included in my package?
It is our standard practice to allow time for you to view and receive all the photos included within your package on the day of your ceremony. If you choose to view your photos on a different day, you will receive the images that day. Delayed photo viewings should be requested in advance and are scheduled by appointment.
Your photographer will shoot more photos than are included in your package. Those images will be shown during your photo viewing session and are available for purchase. Most photo packages include digital images issued with a reprint release. Some packages may include print enlargements. Print enlargements will not be received on the day of purchase.
May I come back to view my photos on a day other than my ceremony date?
Of course! Please notify us ahead of time so we can schedule your photo viewing appointment.
May my guests take photos?
Allow us to provide you and your guests with a relaxed experience in which everyone can fully be present, enjoying the moment and not be stuck behind the camera!
When you get married with us, we will provide a professional photographer to preserve those precious moments. It’ s easier for the photographer to get around and capture better quality images if all the guests remain in their seats and refrain from taking photos. Not to mention, the images included within your package are issued on a CD with a reprint release so you can do with them as you wish – email, edit, post on Facebook, print as many as you like, etc. For that reason, it is not necessary for your guests to take photos.
Remember, your photographer will be shooting more images than is included in your package. Those images will be available for purchase following your ceremony so there will be plenty of pictures to choose from!
Like 99% of the other chapels in Las Vegas, personal photography of any kind is not permitted in the chapel. Yes, it is your wedding and we do care to make it special and be accommodating. However, we are a business and must refine our practices to stay in business.
May we write our own vows?
Of course! Just let us know in advance! Please keep the vows around 2-3 minutes per person.
May we bring our own music?
With certain packages this is permissible. Please bring a maximum of 3 songs on a CD in the following order:
Do we need a witness?
Yes, Nevada requires one witness 18-years of age or older. There is space on your paperwork for up to two witnesses. If you do not have any guests, one of the Vegas Weddings employees may serve as your witness at no additional charge.
May we be bring our own flowers?
Vegas Weddings does all floral in house. While we would love to prepare all the floral arrangements for your wedding, we understand a bride may have a special bouquet with sentimental value.
We understand it is your wedding and want to be as accommodating as possible. Please understand that while we do care very much about your experience, we are a business. In order to stay in business and continue providing stellar service, we must charge a nominal fee to allow outside floral. This $50 fee will help cover the minimum potential loss in revenue for the floral shop. Thank you for your understanding.
What if I want to reschedule or cancel?
If you change or cancel the date & time of your ceremony, your payments will be applied to a new reservation date & time without penalty for up to one year from your original wedding date. All payments are non-refundable.
Are religious and non-religious ceremonies available?
Yes! Chapel ministers and officiants are licensed to perform non-denominational, inter-denominational religious ceremonies and non-religious ceremonies.
If an officiant for a particular religion is desired, please advise your wedding coordinator well-in-advance. We will do our best to accommodate your needs. There may be an additional charge for tradition specific ministers.
Can we bring our own minister?
Yes, with certain restrictions. Your minister must have the proper certification from the Clark County clerk. When your wedding is scheduled, a minister will be on hand at the chapel for you. They will still assist with certain behind the scenes aspects of your ceremony so their typical gratuity is still suggested.
How much should I tip my minister?
Vegas Weddings schedules and arranges your minister but in alignment with the law, does not pay for their services. These services are performed on a gratuity basis only. While it is a tip and the amount is solely at your discretion, an average tip runs between $40-$60. This is in addition to your wedding package price unless otherwise noted. Following your ceremony, expect to receive an envelope for your minister’s services.
Are there any additional fees or gratuities?
Your total balance will include a 19.1% surcharge for state sales tax, coordination and documentation fees, duplication, etc.
A gratuity for your limo driver is appreciated but not required. No envelope will be issued for this gratuity. Tips are customarily given upon the return ride.
Are ceremonies available in languages other than English?
Yes, upon availability. Please make us aware of this request in advance. Additional charges will apply.
Is the chapel wheelchair accessible?
Yes!
